Hello,

I have just bought a 2001 4.0i V8 Discovery 2 and planning on giving it a service what size spark plug socket will i need to change the spark plugs, have done a few searches but not getting a clear answer.

That's a simple one 13/16" is the size.

you guys must be using the old size spark plugs. those were so 90's style and older. here it is 5/8" spark plug socket

That will be right 5/8 for 16mm hex plugs, I'm forgetting things such as spark plug sizes have moved on.
I'm still using my 1987 13/16" socket for the 20.8mm hex plugs in my disco..
