It seemed to be bit better Kerm after you had that gunk out of the coolant system. Still don’t know what that was 10 yr old egg white perhaps? Could there be bit more settled in there
I've not had coolant/pressure issues with the replacement engine since i rooted the stringy lump of silicon out of the end of the bleed off pipe. Granted i had other problems, like the LPG leaking and the head gasket blowing
I need to swap the injector on #3 as soon as i can, which is difficult on a daily driver!! But with that I'll check the usual suspects for blockages. I'm sure there's air trapped somewhere
or, air ingress.Went out last night and it was running 1-2c hotter than normal but didn't overheat or vomit

The "slight hiss" didn't coincide with you farting as you bent over did it Kermit?

If the cap was put on when engine was hot there would be a slight hiss as air was sucked in the expansion tank as the coolant will have contracted and that would also account for the level drop.
