I've not had coolant/pressure issues with the replacement engine since i rooted the stringy lump of silicon out of the end of the bleed off pipe. Granted i had other problems, like the LPG leaking and the head gasket blowingIt seemed to be bit better Kerm after you had that gunk out of the coolant system. Still don’t know what that was 10 yr old egg white perhaps? Could there be bit more settled in there
The "slight hiss" didn't coincide with you farting as you bent over did it Kermit?Just checked and there was only a slight hiss when i took the expansion cap off. Level has dropped a bit too and i don't think it's leaked anywhere so hopefully that's some air out!!

Put on cold and blow not suckIf the cap was put on when engine was hot there would be a slight hiss as air was sucked in the expansion tank as the coolant will have contracted and that would also account for the level drop.
