Should there be a bung of some sort in the hole at the bottom of the wheel well?

Noticed a bit of ribbon hanging down under the car earlier and it was from the wheel well (i have all manner of things in there). Should it be semi-sealed with something?
 
There should be, but a lot of people have removed the bung to let leaked in rain water leak out again.
 
Well, after the trip down to Manchester and back in monsoon conditions, it's quite damp in there. I'd quite like to bung it up again :D

Anyone know a part number?
 
You're brave driving a P38 in the wet.

I think you might be better off looking for a grommit or blanking plate the same size and buying that. Probably cheaper too.
 
To be honest, it was a brilliant drive in the wet. Flying past everyone without an issue apart from the occasional moron who can't drive in rain. Wouldn't have wanted to do that journey in any other car..!
