Des the standard spare wheel carrier on a disco 1 hole a 265/75/16 insa special track or does it need modding? Cheers.

I would but I'm working away an dont have the disco ere but I have a spare wheel carrier with me and a workshop and a few spare hours to mod it if it needs it so if somebody knows that it needs to heightened or lengthened by 'x' mm that would be great.

If I get the chance, I will try it for you this afternoon. I'm running 265s but no spare at the moment.

My standard wheel carrier wouldn't hold a brand new 235/85/16 Special Track as it'd foul the bumper by about an inch. It'd take a part worn one though. Just.
I ended up changing it to a D44 carrier which now happily accommodates the 265/75/16 I've recently changed to.

both 265/75/16s and 235/85/16s fit and the 235s are taller....just.

I had to slot the holes on carrier to lift It by about 3/4" then out part worn 265 75 16 on an have about 4 - 5 mm clearance. Close but it's on.
