Does anyone have, or have info on an external spare wheel carrier for classics,
Just trying to free up some load space for when i get my LPG fitted??

Ta

Mate of mine had a 3.9 Vogue and the tank was fitted behind the rear seat. Later he had two "Torpedo" tanks fitted underneath and still kept the spare wheel in the usual place. Swing-away carriers are available but they look like sh*te.

Forgot to state that the "Torpedoes" were additional to the inside one-in those days, LPG pumps were not too common.

Ive got got air suspention fitted so sill tanks are out, 7 seats so rear seat tank is out.
Dont want to start messing around with roofracks either,
Ive heard if tanks that replace the 95ltr petrol tank with a 33ltr and gas combined but not sure where to get one.

Now thats handy. What about Range with bonnet mount wheel:eek:

I know it will destroy the bonnet but will it help on fuel consumption by makeing the RR more aerodynamic?

And making the steering a job lot heavier, and require reinforcing of the bonnet, and making lifting the bonnet a mission(unless yer geoff capes) and reducing visibilty and potentially being ilegal.

ive maybe discoverd a hole in the market??? think i might try and build my own then sell them on ebay and mabey one day rule the world!!!!!!!
Well that and body lift kits (cant seem to get them anywhere either)

I honestly can't remember how much it cost - it was 4 or 5 years ago. It has been on the car all the time on all sorts of roads and never given me a problem. Tend to dismantle once a year to grease the moving surfaces.
It was supplied with very easy to follow instructions and fitted perfectly at first try

Sorry if i've missed it, but where can you get these? I have the same prob for my RRC as its got a 100L LPG tank in the boot.
I have seen another option, where a small rack is bolted to the rear of the roof and the spare carried this way, but not sure i fancy drilling through the roof.
