Hi all,

Got a bike rack, the type that bolts in behind spare wheel. Was a bit tatty when I got it so stripped back the holder and treated it. Very happy with myself.

Went to remove spare wheel, nuts were very stiff, got two off with a bit of force, 3rd I really had to push when, the bolt started spinning freely in the spare wheel bracket

Anybody any ideas of how I might get it off?

Tried removing spare wheel bracket, but access is limited due to spare wheel even after deflating it.

Pop the back window down and you may be able to get a small pair of grips inside the spare wheel holder to keep the bolt held while you undo it

Haven't enough room to get a good grip on it, haven't the right drill or bits to drill it out, thanks for replys!

You can push the stud back into the holder and then tighten the nut to pull the stud back tight.

That's what I did on mine when the same thing happened to me

if none of the above work nip to halfords and buy a nut spliter ,will knacker the nut but at least you will be able to get the nut off
