Just looking to beef the overall look of the landy, instead of forking out for new rims n tyres, can I offset the standard steels with a 20 or 40mm spacers?

Currently running 235/70/16 atm.

no reason why you cant fella. its just the same as spacers on anything else

Ive got 35 mm spacers on my defender, its got disco alloys and bf a/y 235/70/r16, so their pretty much the same size as yours, best thin about them is that when you look front end on, the tyres are flush with the edge of the arch, without the spacers the wheels just look like casters on a piano :doh:

That was the look i'm going for, just to bring it all into line abit. I've taken my arch's off for the time being whilst i respray them and i like the look of the Landy with the wheels looking wider.

IT's like being married 25 yrs and the Mrs starts looking a little wider in the nice way. Built for comfort not speed.

Proper wheel spacers (ones that aren't going to shear off or cause vibrations) are pretty damn expensive to buy. I honestly wouldn't bother with them, instead I'd be looking at a set of modular wheels and larger tyres, perhaps 265/75 for example.

if you space front std wheels you loose correct steering camber ,where centre line of swivel pins goes through centre of tyre contact with road gives **** steering
