Hi all,
I've some starting issues when cold, a lot of things are changed. For now, I just want to know if you think there is air in the fuel system. My TD5 sounds at the FPR a bit noisy...



What do you think?

Sounds like air mate.... is the fuel pump noisy as well

That hissing from the FPR is normal, when you dont hear it means that the pumps runs on LP

Mine was noisy due to air in the fuel lines, and quietened down to a rushing sound once the air was released. Pump HP was fine at an indicated 4 bar.

It's more noise when air is present but a certain hissing sound must be there if the pump works well

I agree, the hissing sound is perfectly normal as fuel flows through the regulator. It was the pop pop pop gurgle that indicated air...
