Hello all, apologies for my ignorance but I seem incapable of getting the answers I want off of the internet
Basically I'm looking to purchase my first landy and I think a freelander 2 fits the bill. But I'm trying to work out what engine is considered the best, the trim/kit levels are ( bottom to top of the range ) and what years saw facelifts etc. If anyone can help I'd be obliged. Again sorry for the rubbish question.

Try the search facility on here ... you will pick up more information that will stand you in better stead with regards to final purchase, engine configuration over petrol - diesel and the running factors .. you talk about spec level I would be more concerned on the idiosyncrasies of the freelanders.. no excuse to jump in blind when there is a wealth of information you fingertips on here, several hours trawling and you will be a lot wiser and informed

Lol if he wants a freelander does not make him a hairdresser I had one for many years and I'm a heavy plant salvage machinist but I've gone back to the old disco 1 I have had tractor 90 in the past but prefer a more refined ride oh and welcome to land zone

Freelander 2 is a bit more veterinarian these days IMO - @wammers I thing you are getting mixed up with the Suzuki SJ? Altho' I did notice the new electronic park break...

SD4 auto all the way, minimum GS trim, XS even better, try and get me with a full size spare!
