Hey guys,

As the title suggests I am wondering if there is any PC based software which can communicate with the BECM as the faultmates do?

CHeers

Wot you on about ? Course there is - its called Testbook !!!!!!!!!!!

Faultmate Extreme is 1st past the post (software access/unlock wise), then a Testbook follows in 2nd place, as long as you never need to unlock the BECM, the test book can only lock a BECM, it will not unlock one.

The faultmate will probably be cheaper than the testbook as well.

Main difference is that Testbook still works after 10 years of constant use,and I've never sent a BECM away for unlocking.

Nanocom is £296! There no way I'm paying that for something I'm gonna use a handful of times!! Ill keep looking!:)
You are joking? Use a handfull of times? It will pay for itself in 12 months. You can look, but do you not think we would have found an alternative by now if there were one?

Well I was kinda hoping you'd all lie to me and make me feel better!! I've already rebuilt the engine three time, sorted the EAS, rewired half the stock stereo, fixed the driver door actuator and I've still got jobs to do....!!

Well I simply cannot afford that right now but it would make my life considerably easier when sorting this dodgy idle out :(
Can I win the lottery now please? :D

No

The rest of us are first in line, if Datatek wins the Euromillions he may just give you his Rangie being as he'll be buying an brand new V8 Land Cruiser, by all accounts, according to his good self.

I priced one up the other day - £406. I don't think your figure includes VAT, delivery and the PayPal surcharge. Which is why I bought Britpart Lynx £150 cheaper at £250 all in - as I usually carry a netbook in the csr it's not too inconvenient over a Nanocom.

I make p38 one 302 pounds plus shipping say 40 notes. Its Cyprus so VAt is already in.

How do you come to that conclusion? Price is 411.82 euros. Including vat, less shipping and card charge, which you will pay whether your card is a debit or not. So at todays exchange rate that is £350.17 plus shipping and card charge. Around £400.00 give or take a few pence.
