I use neutral gear. Does the trick every time.

i recommended to my ex that driving at normal speeds and then panicking and slamming on the brakes as soon as you feel twitching is an effective technique.
Doesn't do your motor a lot of good but i've picked up a fair amount of stone-walling work over the years.
The same wall twice....true story :d

What you dont do is say to your wife as you pull out the drive "these are fcukin great in the snow love" followed by planting ya right foot firmly into the carpet unleashing all the V8 horses, this let me tell you results in allsorts of nasty wiggles, the odd scream from the wife and a lampost imbedded in the right rear quarter, as you sit and take stock of how impressive that may of looked you feel your wife silently staring at you wondering why she knows you let alone married you and fearing the children may have inherited the stupidity gene.........
Happy memories![]()
And yet you know that at some point on the news this year they will be talking about the snow and will cut to some 4x4 on its roof in a ditch where someone believed their 4x4 was impervious to the affects of snow and ice...
Personally i use good tyres anorl, but i was giving the op a viable solution.Snow Socks are only useful as a last resort on fresh snow. Use them on ice and Tarmac and they'll wear out very quickly. Best solution is fitting winter tyres.
