Ill prob not be getting one for some time (just getting off road would be a staft for me lol), but whislt bored and checking fleabay for fresbie things i was wonderj g what other snorkels could be used on the freebie like ones for the jimmy or sj10?

Another query i had was an exhaust snorkel now i know keeping the revs up when wading and not cutting the engine prevents water getting into the lump, but as so many do on youtube and get stuck at the best why isnt there more on the market to prevent this-like some type of tubing that jublee clips on?

Not that i get off tho tut

Exhaust gets very hot, Id be worried about melting the hose.

Also Im sure Ive read somewhere that freelanders dont really need snorkels because the alternator is below the air intake and thatll get flooded n ruined first!

Acter the wheels fell off lol, i was thinking more some type of metal tube/hose but im sure hou can gethigh tdmp rubbers that would be fine even light weight alloy just wondered wby no one seems to make them when it can be so costly to stall in water?

The standard FL exhaust system is all up and down, so getting water that far up the system is highly unlikely, bit like putting an empty glass upside down into a bowl of water, the water won't (shouldn't) go inside it, as the air prevents the water entering

Plus its unlikely it'll get past the first backbox if any water did get in because of the way it troughs down then rises over the rear subframe.

If you really want to be a bit safer, get a custom backbox made that is smaller and exits higher up and straight down behind the bumper, you'll also then have the benefit of more rear ground clearance behind the subframe

Talk to the Ex-Military guys. You should be able to get what you are after for that exhaust from them.I used to have one for my old Lightweight that stuck ob the end of the exhaust.
However SE88 is spot on. Don't really need it.

Im not really after 1 couldnt sleep lastnight and got bored lol, its just a product id expect to see for off roading whatever the vehicle.
Ill prob get a snorkel at some point knce other stuff done like a lift and guards sidd steps etc but i do lime to keep my eye out for a bargain whjch is why i asked what fits and what doesnt..
