Was talking to a friend of a friend today, who has ran many land rovers over the years, about fitting a snorkel. He says he don't bother with snorkels he just runs the in take through the bulkhead into the cab and uses the glove box as a air box.
This just don't sound quite right to me.
Please discuss

Suppose it would work to an extent but at high speeds wouldn't get enough flow I'd think or as soon as the cab floods in deep wading he's buggered

hmmmmmm.

in theory you could just unplug the intake in the engine bay and run it wherever you wanted.

you would want the air filter in line though. wether it be in the top of the snorkel or using the original box.

dear Landyzone, my landy is really cold, don't know why, my air intake is from the cab will that make a difference??
Maybe I could route the exhaust into the cab to warm it up again.
:D:D:D
For a road vehicle, no, if you only ever use it for rough stuff, think about it, but Id still got for a snorkel
