err - that's hooge!As long as it's the same diameter or greater than the intake pipes from your air filter it will be fine. Roughley 3 1/2" I thinkno harm being slightly bigger though.
the pipe from the air box to the wing vent is 2 1/4" so that size or bigger.
I used 2 1/2" drainpipe for mine.

I have one of them safariiiiii ones (not sure it looks that pretty but it came with the truck).
Anyway i agree that the inner wing pipes afair does seem rather a poor setup....
....perhaps i should gey a length of that flexi hose you've used.
gonna try that bag test in a bit - not holding my breath though
