Hi all,

Two of my green oval friends have recently had brand new snorkels fitted to their trucks.
One mate got a 1996 Defender, the other a 1998 Disco.

I think they paid too much for their snorkels, they were fitted elsewhere, and I am not questioning the fitting.

So not to influence following posts, I won't say how much they each paid, but how much should a new snorkel cost for a Defender, and a Disco.
Not talking top wack prices of Safari branded, we all know they cost an arm and a leg.

Just a decent snorkel, how much would you pay?

Hi 90TD5,

Is £100 generally a good buying price for a snorkel then?
Ban, why, what for, I have 4 times more posts than you:D

Why?? Why what looks like a Toyota as your profile pic??

The more you spend the better the quality. Friend bought that snorkel from those guys and seems to be fine.

It's not the number of posts...

It's the length.

I see an argument coming on.

I shall therefore instigate one. :D

Dont get a safari one. They are over priced and look ssssssss****E! :D

£70 inc postage mantec jobbie from ebay. Done.

Southdown ones are good, stainless steel pipe so wont smash into many tiny pieces, they go straight into the wing as well instead of coming halfway down it, less outside the body means less to hit trees... mine cost around £100 all together...

Mantec! Around £80 and if you need someone else to fit it you shouldn't have a Land Rover.
Alternatively I can fit them for you for £1,000 a piece (Mileage and hotels extra):D

I couldn't agree more that the Safari one's are soooooooooooo overpriced.

I guess the Mantec one's offer decent value at £70 then.
