just got new land rover k reg. tdi done 1300 miles since buying it. oil was ok when i got it. after a week or so oil light came on so checked oil. was bit low so toped it up. after about 4 days oil light flased on so cheched the oil it was very low again toped it up. didnt do many miles (35) i was driving last night the engine seemed to be running like it was a bit tapey i was in 5th gear i saw loads of blue smoke out the back. ie couldnt see the road lol. it did seem a bit hoter than normal so i stoped for a bit. checked oil was low so toped up. and made it home (15) miles. anyone got any ideas. thanks gav

Doesn't sound good to me Im afraid. Sounds like you're burning oil. This probably means worn valves, piston rings, cylinders or something more serious. I'd recommend getting it looked at ASAP by someone who knows what to look for. May be worth doing a quick search through the forums (or google) or posting in the 90/110 or disco forums are there may be some posters who never venture this far up,
