Hi all.
I've done a search and can't find much relating to my issue (one of many)
I have a freelander 1 TD4 and on start up it smokes allot, it's white smoke and smells of diesel.
It starts no trouble at all but then idol is lumpy and breaks a new hole in the ozone layer.
Once up to temperature no smoke, smooth idol just like there is no problem at all.
Any ideas?

Might be to do with the glow plugs allowing to warm up. Smoke in the cold weather sounds normal as the exhaust contains residue of water being vapourized. The smell of fuel need checking to see if there is a leak around the air vents.

I don't think he has the Freelander anymore.
Try starting a new thread listing the issues you have in as much boring detail as possible.
It all helps and should get you the answer to your problem.
