hi all,

out with simmi last nite and his 19j tried to run away a couple of times..

big cloud of black smoke and increased revs briefly all on its own..

is this the first signs of the turbo failing and suckin injun oil..


or is there something else he should be lookin at?

most likely, this is a common problem in renault 1.9 dcis too, had it on mine and its downright scary when they do it big time, mine dragged me halfway across the road with the brakes on as it just refused to stop!

best to sort it asap or it could start to melt stuff, that and run low on oil and do your mains etc.

Sucking sump oil up into the combustion chambers and running on it.
Don't use it again until it's sorted, it could self destruct in a spectacular way.
Only ways to stop it are too stall it or cover the air intake, if you can get near it for the smoke!
