hi all just been on a drive had smoke or steam coming out of exhaust. It was very cold out and happened when the car had only been driven a short distance, once the car had warmed up it was fine when driving. Only smoked or steamed on tick over... ie at traffic lights.

I think everything is fine but it doesn't hurt to ask :)

most other cars will do the same when there cold. iv noticed diesels only usually do it for a couple of mins and petrols take longer to stop the steaming.

If its a petrol p38 proabley smoke from the boiling engine and steam from the water geting in through the slipped liner.

All cars produce vapour from condensate in the exhaust, it's particularly noticable in cold weather as cold air does not absorb as much water as warm air.
