got my first used Disco. The SLS which is supposed to raise the back end up 4" does not work. It is not a fuse. I press the button and it does nothing but light up the light until I release it. Where do I start troubleshooting?

First thing, when u put ignition on check out if the SLS failure LED is working(the one from the bottom with two opposite arrows)......if not, the seller f**cked up things to hide a failure..........the next steps are connected to this......u'll be advised.

You are stationary and in low ratio?

Have you got ALL doors closed and the bonnet shut? And the engine running?
