My 300tdi has all of a sudden developed a strange feeling! Up until last week it was rock solid on the road and drove very level with little bounce or sway, however yesterday it started to shimmy sideways when you went over a pot hole or a rut in the road? The feeling feels like it's coming from the back with the back end stepping out.

Nothings happened to the car in the last week, in fact it's hardly been used and hasn't been off road for awhile. The only thing that I've done to it was spray WD40 all over the lower steering shaft/UJ's to stop an annoying squeak (which worked)

Would freeing up the UJ's be enough to cause this rather un-nerving feeling? I'm just wondering if I've highlighted the fact there's play in them by spraying them whereas before the stiffness may have masked the fact they were knackered?

Anyone help with this? As the car will have to come off the road any day as it's that bad. It's gone from a nice firm ride to a plate of jelly overnight! Wondering now if a shock has gone, when you go over any uneven road (all the time oop 't north) the car wobbles and feels very unsteady. I've got Pro Comp shocks with Bearmach springs that are fairly new (less than 10k use) can they just go like this?
