Hello everyone, I have a 1969 series 2a with an appalling wiring loom which is not helped by the side lights filling with water every time it rains. Now I will be fitting a new wiring loom next spring (no garage) and was wondering if Wipac lights are any good? Tia

Do the lens have a drain hole cast into the lip?
Always a good idea to use spray grease in the bulb socket and the screw holes.
Mine have the cheapest plastic crap lamps going, no water in them.

This is the second set of lights I’ve fitted,cheap and nasty I do have tiny drain holes, didn’t work, think they are hiding in the rubber seal, didn’t think that through . The grease is a good idea,but having trouble with the bulbs not actually fitting in the plastic holders.

Get the proper Lucas lights, red and black box. I know, I know, they're Britpart, but Taiwanese, and better than the Britpart stuff, made from reject CD cases. Silicon grease everything.

You could file the lens groove deeper so when fitted the seal does not seal the groove up?
Thinking about it I also have the same cheapo lights on my 90, they are dry as well, fog and reverse lights excepted!

When it comes to the wiring for the side/indicator lamps from where wires exit main loom at bulkhead to go out to the wings it's pretty simple to make up and join in some new sections. Cured a few problems on my series.
