Cant turn off the side lights on the 110, so woke up this morning to a flat battery.

Not sure where to look first to fault find, steering column switch or somewhere else?

Any advise much appreciated.

Merry Christmas!

They are on a simple on/off 2 position switch from the column to the lights via a fuse.

The wire colour should be red/orange and is fed through a 10A fuse.

It sounds as though it may be a switch problem as they don't turn off!

Give it a squirt of WD40 or switch cleaner and see if that helps before going out and buying a replacement ;)

Thanks for the info, getting weirder though, lights sorted themselves out, now speedo and fuel gauge stopped working!

Have checked for water under driver seat, but known getting in.

Guess so as lights still doing there own thing! Where to look first tho?

And happy new year!

Check that you have 12V to your ign switch, to the gauges and to your stalk.

Next check that you have good earth strap connections throughout.

Let's start at the beginning and work from there.

So it was MOT time again, landy was at the local Landy garage, passed with no issues but side lights came on whilst waiting for me to pick up. garage owner expert said its more likely to the relay it runs through in there experience.

So anyway lights stay on, run the battery flat!

Anyone else had this issue with lights?

Your switch is fed by a blue wire and comes out on a red one as far as the fuse.

From the fuse you should have a Red/Orange wire going directly to the side lights.

Unless it has been modified, there is no relay involved as they are required to stay on when the ignition is off.
