I was planning on selling my disco 300tdi, but have been a bit dissapointed at the price they are fetching at the moment.
I was wondering whether to wait a few months, to start into autumn, and hopefully they go up a bit with the winter approaching.
What you peeps reckon, you think wait a bit, or do you think the price of disco 1's are in terminal price nose dive

Think Landies in general are dropping in price. They had an artificial hike after the snows last year. But it was never gonna last. Now if only we can get that message to register in the minds of the owners all will be well with the world. I was watching a couple of 110's last week and they both went for less than £800 both needed work but weren''t basket cases.

i think the 90 is a diffewrant thing all together prices stay high because of demand even poor ones go for good money

With fenders I think its more that people prefer the more basic 200/300's and so this keeps prices of the older ones up, this in turn keeps the prices of newer ones higher...

disco 1's are not far from bottoming out, as the rot boxes fall away you'll see the same as what happened to the rr classic, prices rising for the well looked after clean ( well thats mine out ) unmolested examples till in the end they fall firmly into the "collectors" market and you never see them on the lanes again.

True. £600 is about the going rate for a Disco that has shot bodywork. Smart people will know that someone will pay that just so they can get the engine, gearbox and axles. They just weigh the rest in.

Not many cheap classics out there.

I have seen price of 90s rise over the last few years.

When I first started looking, you could pick up a 90 200TDI for £2500 if you were quick. Now its more like £3000 to £3500 and there aren't many of those out there!

Have decided to keep my disco till the autumn, and see if prices rise a bit going into the winter, prices seem to be hovering around 600 for what looks like half decent ones, at the moment,mine is high mileage but Land Rover serviced every 6 months all it's life 28 stamps in the book, so I think a well looked after high mileage is a better option than a not looked after lower mileage,might take a while to move, but I still have my 110 so dont have to snap the first offer, although the way things are looking at the moment have to be just careful you dont turn down the only offer....
