Put it to the Poll. Should I buy a 1970 88" series 2a lightweight for £900? tax exempt, done 40 miles since last MOT. this one has run out. pretty standard except for the 3.5 V8
Would be my 2nd motor and would be kept in my garage. Ok its not a minter and looks a little shabby all around. But I have always liked the lightweights and would like a V8 as a 2nd run around.
what you think?

I've just had alook at the DVLA site and the vehicle reg no states manufactured 1970, however date of first registration is 1981.
Looks like you 'll probably have to apply for tax exemption.
You'll definitely know for sure when you go to tax it.

No - Tax Exemption is done on build date. It is not on a age related plate, happens all the time with ex-millitary landys.
