So, at the weekend I replaced my brake calipers and carriers.
I had a very seized slider in the front drivers side carrier, which was making the 3 amigos appear when applying heavy braking!
After reading lots of threads about what calipers to get, I went with Britpart.
I try not to buy Britpart items, but apparently the Calipers and Carriers are worth the cheap money.
Several people have bought them and have so far had no complaints.
I decided to replace them after fitting new pads to the front and finding that the brake pedal still went to the floor after applying a fair bit of pressure.
I bled the whole system (front and back) and replaced the brake fluid with new DOT4 fluid.
I will eventually recondition my old calipers (which are Lucas) and refit them after a few years or if/when they are needed.
here are the new Calipers on the passenger wheel.
