OK, new filters, engine oil change etc done today. Didn't get the ****part ones in the end, got set of three filters and new belts from Andrew Page's (Mann filters). Last week ran a tank of Wynn's injector cleaner through it, and did the Wynn's engine flush before changing oil today, all new filters fitted, filled up with some V-Power Diesel, and she's a different motor - quiet, responsive and much more smooth to drive. Anyhoo, a coupla observations...
1. Removed Air filter and there was quite a lot of oil inside the casing, dripping all over the place. Is this normal, or should ah disconnect the crank case breather?
2. Fluid leak evident from somewhere, seems like diesel by the smell, but going to investigate further. Is wettest around where the vacuum pipe from the servo attaches to the engine.
3. Both belts completely knackered and being replaced tomorrow which could explain the heavy steering and warm running of late
