Can you tell me please are the brake lineings the same as a series 2.

If you are replacing the linings, then yes they are the same linings as on the very early Series II, although if memory serves correctly the shoes are slightly different. Only use bronze rivets to attach the linings, as the steel ones tend to do nasty things to the drum when they rust!
