Hey,

Currently in the process of relaying the brake pipes on my series 3 chassis, was wondering if anybody had any photos to show the correct layout for them? As in where there cleated to the chassis and where they bend around legs etc, not as in where each pipe goes. Only reason I'm worried is I don't want to attac them all on put her all back together and get an MOT failure for wrong location or anything. Thought I took enough photos of the old girl before I stripped her down..obviously not.

Any help would be very much welcomed

Many Thanks,

Matt

runs from n/s wheel, along the top of rear axle to splitter valve or 2 way junction the runs along the chassis (off side) but if you look carefully you will see where the cleat holes are,

N/S front: from splitter, goes behind cross-member under bell housing, then runs along top of chassis leg to bracket in wheel arch. Then flexy etc.
O/S front: Splitter to bracket along top of rail.
Rear: runs from splitter along top of O/S chassis rail to a flexy, Joints a T on the axle and runs along back of axle case to each wheel.

As long as the pipes aren't being crushed or being fouled by a moving part, shouldn't be a MOT failure anyway. I was waiting for some P-clips when the MOT was due, held the lines on with zip ties and it passed ok.
