i have recently bought another s3,which has an isuzu 2.8td engine+gearbox. what i want to know is will my series 3 gearbox fit on the 2.8 isuzu motor because i'm having problems mating up the isuzu gearbox to the landy diff.if that makes sense?
ANY IDEAS ???? MANY THANKS.

you can do the conversion, but if you have gone that far can you not get the props shafts made by a speculist, isuzu one end landy the other?

Diffs are easy to make up by a specialist, I was going to fit a Daihatsu lump and box to my series, in the end I just fitted the lump via an adaptor ring to the series box, main reason was i could not work out a way of fitting a handbrake to the Daihatsu box, without rebuilding the back axle to take rear wheel handbrake...
