Hi,
I have a few questions about series 3 dashboards.
1/ Were they built with hazard warning light switches? (my old one had one but this one doesn't.)
2/ My toggle switch for the heater has 3 positions but only works on the central one, is it the wrong switch or should there be 2 different blower settings?
3/ Do the wipers only have one setting? Mine seem to but can't remember if this is normal.

Any help would be great here before i go and pull the dash off to find i had just forgot how basic these models are. Thanks

1 - mine's an early 3 and it doesn't have hazard flashers
2 - should be a slow and fast motor speed.
3 - mine's only got one wiper speed - inadequate!

My 1972 has no hazards, 3 blower settings (off, slow, fast) and 1 wiper speed. I always find it strange that the wiper swith is a twist one when there is only 1 speed, why didn't they just use the same switch as everything else?

wow mine technically has 2 speeds slow and fast but its truly only barley on and off my wipers also have 2 speeds on and off and it depends if they were an optional extra or not

I have 2 working fan speeds, two wiper speeds, but surprisingly for a 1981 vehicle, no hazzard lights.

So they could make it a dual function switch - wipers and washers at the same time.

Thanks guys, i now know where to start, i'm guessing the heater will just be a quick fix but does anybody know if there are aftermarket hazard switches available as having owned one of these before i'm pretty sure they might come in handy one day!!!

My 1976 one has only a one speed wiper. When were 2 speed wipers first factory fitted?
