Hi all,

I've just purchased an adaptor on Ebay for the clutch master cylinder, part no. 139082. It doesn't fit, way to small. Is there a larger size? Can only see the one type listed for sale.

Does the clutch pipe fit it and have you correct clutch cylinder
What year S3 perhaps earlier ones have a imperial thread

Can you measure any thread sizes
These have lots bits

It's a 1974. As far as I know every thing is correct but it's a new vehicle to me, so who knows if somethings been changed over the years. The thread looked the same just needs to be a bigger. I'll check tomorrow whether the clutch pipe fits.

I use UNF/UNC and metric pitch gauges as well as micrometer to ascertain thread types along with a ZEUS book most useful could also none a bsf

I had to get a pipe made up for the clutch master on my 73 S3, can't remember exactly why but different side unions vs the pipe I had.

Took it to a local hydraulics place and they make me up a new pipe the same day for a few quid.
