Hi all ,

I have a series 2 88" , is there any way I can find the build date from the vin /id plate/number?'

It is registerd 14/04/1960, is there a chance it could of been built before 1960,

As want to find out if it qualifies for the new pre 1960 mot rules

Send vin number to these people
Archive Services | Heritage Motor Centre

There is a cost but they may tell the manufacture date before you have to pay.

can some one please enlighten me about the pre 1960 mot whispers i've heard , (mot exempt ?)

Don't know but the thread named 'Pre 1960 MOT to be dropped' would seem a good place to start looking.
