Hi I just swaped my transmission for the later R380 and transfer. Was really worthwhile the annoying "clunk" when chaning gear has now gone, and the gearbox shifts way better. I allways suspected the clunk was the output shaft, so to check I jsut seperated the gearbox and transfer. Regards this I have a few questions I just seperated the two by un doing the mating bolts, it then came apart with reletive ease. I noticed however that the input splines had thread on the end. Is this suposed to have a nut on it (mine did not). Could definately see 50% wear on GB splines, can I expect equal wear on the input splines on the transfer? Wondering wheather its worth using as a spare as it shifted very well. Cheers Jim
