What is the best way of getting off a seized nut.

I am changing front shocks on RRC and the nut is stuck with little or no end bit to hold it to get any levage ?

Apart from trying to cut the shock and slide off the wrong way and other suggestions ?

If you are replacing the shocks, use an angle grinder and just cut the nut off. What's the point in struggling??
If yowm a purist, use a big ommer and chisel!!!

cut it off!!! new shocks come with own nuts so why care

just cut down the nut, parralel to the thread and 90 degrees to the top of the nut with a hacksaw and the use a hammer and chisel to loosen it then off it will pop!!!
