Replacing the brake pipes on my Discovery. Is there a good way to fix new brake pipe clips to the rear axle? Anyone ever tack welded on a stud for a P clip to fix to? I Dont want to bugger up the the metallurgy of the axle, but maybe this is ok? I don't think tie wraps are the way to go.

you can weld a lug to axle case with no problems

mine come back from mot with the new brake pipe held on by cable ties.

Cable ties on mine, just how it left the factory. Then I think there's only two or three

ABS wiring is cable tied on but is also pushed along with the brake pipes into little plastic clips that are coming off the rear axle with the anti roll bar attached on mine.

I used cable ties when I replaced mine
