Has anyone removed the trim which has the electric swtches on for seats at the right hand side of drivers seat base. I want to remove and paint but dont know how to take it off?

Make sure seat is all the way forward, remove the blanking plugs from above the switches, remove screws and then just bring the rear part of the trim (the bit nearest the back of the seat) outward, wiggle it free from its wire retainer thingymajig, unplug electrical connector and you are all done.

To remove the actual switches so you can paint, remove the two switches that adjust the seat, that is to say, grasp them firmly and pull directly away from the trim. They should pop off, then just unscrew the switch pack from the trim and you are just left with the plastic trim.

Refitting, is, as they say, the reverse of removal.

P.S. The above assumes you have a P38 - from reading your other posts I dont think you do in which case make sure you put what vehicle you want the info for

Its a new shape, not sure of name.

All done. Some clips and 1 torx at rear of seat.
