Freelander 1, 2006 model Wiper problems.

Wipers work ok on normal and fast speed but will not park unless switched off just as they reach the end of their stroke.
On intermitent they move halfway across the screen and stop, then on next movement go further and stop again and so on.
Anybody had the same problem?

Yes on my 06 adventurer. it is a contact on a secondary(park) circuit, which you may have cooked if your screen was covered in snow / frozen. You need to remove motor, and the contact is under the cover. You may be able to clean and reform the contact if lucky. If not its a new motor about £40 on e-bay.

Great, happened with mine this morning when a load of snow slid off roof as I was driving. The intermittent and one wipe only go about a quarter of the way and then stop and then start etc etc as mentioned above.
Is there a thread for checking the motor etc and how to replace motorif required.

Had the same problem last year in the snow ended up buying a new wiper motor from island 4x4
