Hi folks - I'm by now familiar with all the juddering issues, auto fault finder videos etc.

Quick genesis
- droning noise from rear diff, had a diff shop rebuild it, droning went away
- very soon after I started getting juddering in full lock in reverse (most pronounced in underground park), to a lesser degree in front direction corners. It's a slight bind that releases softly, during a single maneuver maybe 6-8 times
- the issue stops when haldex fuse is out

I've had the Haldex out, new OEM pump/filter/fluid, even tried alternate N737 valve working on another car; rear CV joints and shafts look solid. Compared to some of the videos around my oil/screen/filter was reasonably clean

Looking at all the issues I feel I'm stuck with two outcomes: the clutch pack/accumulator in haldex toast; and/or something done wrong in diff rebuild

All the threads point to the haldex issues for the issue experienced, but I feel the timing of the diff repair is too close.

What would you do to troubleshoot before I take out diff and try a new rebuild - I have access to a lift if needed for a quick test.

You know you can send away the Haldex ecm and have the ‘scrabble’ mod done, right? (Assuming gen4)

Mine was scrabbling, had the mod, perfect now.

i'm not in UK so that's not an option unfortunately - also, my question was primarily whether I can try to figure out whether it's diff or really the accumulator for which the scrabbler stopper mod helps

This is exactly what mine did, a while after I rebuilt my diff. My hypothesis was that the slack diff bearings hide the scrabbling Haldex as there's much play in the gears.
Removing the play with a good diff shows up the Haldex issue.

There are several theories as to the cause of the scrabble, but nothing definite has come to light. The scrabble fix mod is the only guaranteed cure.

Even if not in UK, I’m pretty sure you could post it over to Matt for the fix.
It’s only the ECM you need to send - so a 6” by 6” light box.

Great service from the company - a few here have used them.

unfortunately their FAQ says they had issues with import taxes and can't sustain intl orders right now
Ah… still worth a phone call to Matt to discuss. Things may have changed. He’s a nice guy that will try to help.

If you have a friend or family in the UK, perhaps they could help you… 😉

Yeah, I'm subscribed to the channel already :) I've already tested 2 valves with the results being too similar and tested against the video. So that's why I narrowed it down to the accumulator being bust and/or it still being linked to the diff.
