Did make a start on me replacement though, took off all the bits I don't want......................
Sayin that does anyone know if yu have to have the backplates behind the discs????
Started to clean it up with wire brush then gonna give it a liberal coating of black ammerite before I swap it over.
Am plannin for weekend of 13/14 to start work on it proper.

i dont think Si has on his Disco - they are meant to protect the disks from mud n crap - not necessary tho. I think Si managed to find noo ones somewhere.

September - need all the time I got to be ready for chippy run.
As far as backplates go, me nooo axle has some but they is a bit bent, so rather than swap with the ones on me old axle, I fort I'd just get shot of em all together
