Have you got the horribly overpriced billet aluminium hinges?

@meego I thought you used to be able to get galvanised ones which I am sure is what I have on the front of mine. But when I needed second row hinges I could not find any. I am expecting the same issue. But so far are just in zinc primer and coach enamel.

Why do you say over priced?

You aware of material costs, labour these days? Even if made in china.

£300 is very reasonable. Id dare you to have them designed and manufactured to same standard first time for less. They are CNCd remember not mass produced cast.

I designed a set of security, greaseable hinges for a 110. Billet Alli, prices come in around £1k.

I say they are overpriced because they are the equivant of 10 sets of regular hinges. Which even at an underestimate of 5 years of life span will last for 50 years for the same price. Will the set of bullet hinges last that length of time?

Annoyingly I have the same view and have done similar sums with stainless exhaust systems. They just do not make financial sense even if you plan to keep the vehicle forever.
