Good evening everyone,

i inspected the trunk today.
There was a lot of rust under the small carpet on the right-hand side. I sanded it down and treated it with anti-rust. Everything is great so far. There are small holes in 2 places (marked in red) - I think water leakage? But there are bulges in the carpet at the top - what are they? Should there be some kind of rubber or something?
I tore off the 2 screws (marked in green) - they were totally rusted. I'll try to get the thread out tomorrow.

Thank you!

The 2 screws are not screws but bolts that hold the bracket for the prop for the boot floor when it's lifted. At least that is what they look like.

Those in red are threaded holes for cargo tie down points. They are surposed to have metal plugs insterted from below and then rubber coated over that but i assume yours have rusted away.

Thanks. Can it be reconstructed? How? Spare parts?

Im assuming you mean the plugs. But no probably not, they are stamped sheet metal. Id just get a short stubby galvanised bolt and turn it in there from below just to plug the hole and the galvanising will help keep rust at bay. They just standard metric M10 threads if i remeber correctly.
This is what i did with mine though.

Hi Keith yep, the green circled ones are for the prop as you say, mine was the same but I repaired it and bought a new part, I am a tad OCD with parts that are not there........ ;)
