Gone to a 2 tank system, cost about £80 all in, will recoup this in just one week of motoring - running perfect !

I am assuming the chip shop stuff is secondhand but the other is new, do you need to filter the old stuff?

Do you run on veg oil too YD?
 
what, cooking oil, not me mr. taxman, honest ;).
ffs james of course you have to filter it first otherwise you would backfire every second lampost and shoot batter bits out the exhaust ;)

Well done the Nije doing your bit to help your earth, first gaylander on 100% that we know of, gonna try the td4 when no risk of frost starting at 15% and going to try to get to 50% without heating. . .
 
you can run at 50% without heating anyway minge, as long as you use the heaterplugs twice........... alledgedly ;)

NE1 tried veggie & kerosene for long term running off road?
Obviously it would be off road as otherwise there might be some duty to pay on the 30p/litre for kerosene and 50p/litre veg oil, so at 40p/litre off road, would there be any detrimental effects to the engine &/or fuel system? Anyone know?

Its a lottery some motors have no problems some a few some are problems , it can rake all the ****e from ya tank, and block your filters , some pumps dont like it[lucas] others do, some types of seals rubbers ect swell or rot, think youve got to think can i risk it or can i fix it myself. . .
 
problem with kero is there is no oil content in it and the veggie doesnt have enough to conmpensate.

Yes its always best to get the info of the motor your using, then ask yourself do these guys really know or spinning a line ,most of the more experienced people like on the landy zone tell it as it is, like it or lump it, but you will find there is a lot of people using this type of fuel with good results but unwilling to give info , well for reasons that we all know, having said that they are helping there pockets but more important helping the planet, so fair play to them i admire the determination. . .
 
COSTCO IS 48PPL, for what its worth, i ran mine on a 50/50 mix for a few thou miles but wasnt comfortable with it on cold mornings. If anyone wants a twin plug fuel heater its yours for £20 - with brand new plugs (hence the price) untested.

Was that price installed or did you diy, where did you install the tank?, how much can it hold? Where can I get one?:cool:
 
If you want to run it on kero, then put in 5% engine oil, that will give it an oil content similar to diesel.
