My RRC failed her MOT :doh: on ABS lights not working on dash was told i need to get the ecu read to find the fault does anybody on here know who i could get help from please !!

I live in High Wycombe and unfortunatly am not working at the moment so can not afford dealer prices so would need to be an independant or fellow fan

Does the ABS work? If so it could just be a bulb.

If the light doesn't come on the first thing to check is that somebody hasn't removed the bulb. What year is it? Is a soft dash? has it got traction control?

If the bulb has been removed, it is probable there has been an ABS fault a previous owner couldn't resolve. Firts thing you need to do is get a blink code from the ABS system, that will tell you where to look. Search the forum, there are lots of posts that will tell you how to get a blink code and do certain fixes.

If you are lucky it will just be a sensor that needs knocking in a bit or perhaps a fuse, a relay or an earth. If there is a problem with the ECU or the valve block it will be possibly expensive and a bit of a pain to sort.

Its a 1994 hard dash was gonna check bulb this morning but its tipping it down at the moment soon as it stops i will check and get back to you
