2000 rpm during almost 10 minutes ?You need to follow the cam break in procedure so the lifters start to turn
Take the spark plugs out (distributor cap seems to be missing ??). Then crank it on the starter motor & check the oil pressure and get the oil circulated where required.
Then I would put sparkies in & get it to fire up & idel before revving it up.
I think that's right. Don't let it idle at all once started, you need oil splashing around straight away2000 rpm during almost 10 minutes ?
i have to fix the dizzy yes ! that's could be my last jobYep, no HT going to the dizzy cap or HT leads going from it to the plugs…
…and lordy, thats a lot of belts! Just have the one serpentine one on mine.
My MR2 started and ran just fine on very old petrol after I took it out of storage. I think it's more likely to be a problem on modern engines that are infested with sensors.I have 10 liters fuel in the tank since 2 years, if i mix with new gazoline it's ok , or i must empty the tank before ?
if its e10 petrol, that goes off much quicker and means more 'off' fuel per litre of liquidMy MR2 started and ran just fine on very old petrol after I took it out of storage. I think it's more likely to be a problem on modern engines that are infested with sensors.
Just less Ethanol and more petrol!if its e10 petrol, that goes off much quicker and means more 'off' fuel per litre of liquid
ethanol attracts water, which helps it separate and go to the bottom (where it gets sucked into the fuel system) after even more time it starts to break down and oxidiseJust less Ethanol and more petrol!
Never had a problem with Cleveland Discol.ethanol attracts water, which helps it separate and go to the bottom (where it gets sucked into the fuel system) after even more time it starts to break down and oxidise
