My 2 week old range rover vogue 2000 just developed an srs fault , any ideas on the solution ??
Thanks

Phil

Yeah get the codes read to try and pin point the fault. You can spend hours cleaning connections, which if not done right can lead to a face full of air bag. Don't play with it unless you have disconnected the battery and left car for at least ten mins for capacitor to discharge. Only then is it safe to start pulling plugs and cleaning contacts.

I'm not sure if this is a common problem on range rovers - but i've seen a few airbag faults on different vehicles caused by the electrical coupling between the steering wheel and the wiring loom...

Please do report back as mine has the same fault but at the moment it is just one of many that I will have to sort.

I had same problem. A search on here showed that constant position changing of the drivers seat loosened the conection of a plug under the seat. I pulled the plug apart, rerouted it under the seat frame so it wouldn't get tugged and problem solved.:)

mine had that it was caused by the battery voltage getting low and trying to start it,got the light reset and been fine since

Gave up with the under seat plugs on mine, soldering iron and heat shrink sleeving on both fronts has cured it once and forall !
