Well I venturerd underneath the old Range Rover today, bloody hell was not pleased with what I found the sills will have to be plated on the out and inside then another strip of metal welded on to form the bottom of the sill, this I think will have to be repeated on the other side aswell, I hope once this has been done it will last me the life of the Rover. Oh why do we bother.

cut it all out and fit 5mm 100x50 box section never rot and instant rock sliders as well

I assume that you bolt it all in place?

Dun't really matter as long as it's welded properly

mine are solid to me surprise.just a small patch at bottom of baulkhead pillar,boaf sides

Know what you mean. Maybe because she's worth it:scratching_chin: The sills on mine look like a patchwork quilt, but it gets it an MOT and keeps me from getting bored. Then I get to play in the mud

I might do the quilt thing this time round and if it lasts another couple of years I'll be happy, if not I shall try what was first suggested.
