Has anyone successfully replaced the rotor filter housing on a TD5 Discovery without having to remove the turbo?

Hello, removed mine to last week without removing Turbo to replace sealing ring that goes into the Oil Cooler as it was leaking oil.

Cool, how awkward was it? I can't even just put a nut on mine because of the air con pipes! Presumably you had to remove/replace it from underneath somehow? Whenever I have done them before it has coincided with the turbo being off which give a lot more room. cheers

Hello, Only had my 1ST Disco for 8 wks and zero mechanical experience, pen pusher by trade:D. Yes awkward but did not want to touch the turbo bit nervous. I was draining out the oil anyway to replace oil pump bolt (which was loose) the normal oil filter plus housing gasket. Removed the Centrifuge pipe from the sump and slide it through the gap where the oil filter is plus loosened some other bits etc.
