Hi. I'm looking for a roofrack for my disco 1. But I haven't found one as yet. Iv come across loads of 110 ones. So my question is, will a 110 rack fit a disco? Is it the same width? Same length? Same mounts? If not how easy is it to modify?

There's plenty knocking about but nothing local. I'm just asking so I know if its Worth driving miles away to get one, and I can get it home with the disco.

Any help/advice and ideas will be much appreciated

I would say that a Disco is wider than a 110.

The roof of a 110 is narrower than the track of the wheels and the Disco roof is wider than the track of the wheels, just my observations

Disco is wider and the roof profile is taller. You can always modify with a welder

Yeah I understand where your coming from. If that's the case It could be modified to fit then. Would just be narrower than a proper disco one then.

Defender roof rack is approx 1.41 metres

why not just buy one that fits a disco

Barmatt Iv seen these ones. I'm looking for a full length kinda size. So I can loose me light bar then and fit lights to rack. Although the half one is pretty local to me so might pop have a look at it.

the third link I put up is a full length rack, or alternatively I'd speak to a local welder to make one rather than trying to modify one of a 110.

Ok il look into it. Just thought it would of been easy to mod a ready made cage then to build a complete rack

It might be but as far as I know a roof rack for a 110 would be the wrong length and width so it would cost more to buy one and modify it than to buy the right one in the first place.
