HELLO
Can anyone tell me why when my disco gets to about 2500 rpm the rev counter stops working .

Hi Lee, A signal from the alternator provides the revs. Check the alternator connections. If connections are good and it persists then it may be rev counter or alternator. I had the problem when I bought my car and it was a dry joint in the alternator which an auto electrician fixed.
